Now that I am moving on from movie/Oscar themed posts I thought it would be a good idea to tell you a little bit more about myself! Of course you can get an idea from my "About Me" page but I thought it would be fun to share a bit more!
How tall are you?
5'9, I come from a family of very tall people (my uncle is 6'7, my sister is 6'1)
Any nicknames?
Yep! Obviously Cait, also CaityCakes and KayKay
Any siblings?
One younger sister (18 years old). And since I just got married I now have a sister-in-law, and step brother and step sister-in-law. Also my dad just got married so on top of that I also have another step brother and step sister. So within four months I went from one sibling to five!
Favorite color?
Teal of course!
Morning person or night person?
Definitely a night owl. I hate having to wake up early - and early to me is 10:00. But I will wake up if I have to.
Last movie you watched?
Beerfest. And I only watched it because Shawn's birthday was on Sunday and he wanted to watch it. It's now on the one and done movie list.
Favorite snack?
Semi-healthy- Trader Joe's Fruit Wraps
Junk food- ANYTHING chocolate and peanut butter.

Favorite vacation?
Of course the honeymoon is and always will be a favorite. But other than that I would say when I was in high school and my mom and I went to Ireland to visit my best friend (she was living there at the time with her family). We stayed in Cork for a few days, then drove up to Sligo and everyday we drove south to a new town so we visited a majority of the towns on the west side of Ireland.

Where do you want to travel?
There are a lot of historic sites I want to travel to one day. For example, pretty much everything on the East Coast that has a significant meaning in American history like Gettysburg, The Liberty Bell, Declaration of Independence, stuff like that. I also hope that one day I can go to Berlin, Auschwitz, and Normandy.
As a kid what did you want to be when you grew up?
I remember always wanting to be a teacher. Then I realized how much more schooling I would have to do to make that happen so I gave up on that idea. But I managed to find a career where I can kind of still be a teacher by interpreting for a teacher. So that actually worked out quite well!
Do you collect anything?
Yes. And it's probably something that you don't hear very often. I collect Laser Discs. My grandpa and great-grandpa had laser discs and when I discovered what they were I became obsessed with them. So I now have over 200 Laser Discs. Don't worry I will be doing a whole blog post on this in the future to explain myself more.
Do you untie your shoes when you take them off?
Nope. Does anybody??? I'm too lazy to do that!
Two pet peeves?
1. When people at the gym have their music playing without headphones. I think that it's just flat out rude.
2. The whole idea that the woman has the final say, she runs the house, and the mans opinion doesn't matter. Maybe it's because we have only been married for 8 months but Shawn and I talk about everything and we come to an agreement on everything (even if it takes a couple of days). I would never just make a decision for us without getting his opinion on it first. Marriage is supposed to be a team effort. So it drives me crazy when people say something like "You have the final say. Shawn will have to come around to it eventually" or "us women run things, the men wouldn't know what to do without us."
Favorite holiday?
It would probably have to be Christmas. It's such a wonderful time of year that focuses on family and just being with the people you love and care for.
