I'll admit that it has been hard because most of the time I forget to write it down. But Shawn and I watch so many movies and it's been fun to already look back and see what we have watched.
First, Shawn picks about 98% of the movies we watch and for the most part I go along with it. The reason he picks is because he has seen WAY more movies than me and also because I'm more likely to pick something he won't enjoy.
Second, we usually watch movies I haven't seen. So this is great for me because I get to discover new movies but it also sometimes isn't so much fun. When Shawn picks a movie, if I haven't heard of it before he doesn't tell me anything about it. I'm not allowed to look it up on IMDb and he won't even give me a one sentence summary. This is part of the reason why I will veto a movie quickly. If the title alone isn't interesting it automatically results me in saying no.
Both of these things will come into play in this post.
So, I know that March isn't over quite yet but here are the movies Shawn and I watched in March and also a little bit about what I thought about them.
Wall-E - I can watch this movie over and over and over again. It's definitely one of my Pixar favorites. If you are one of those people who don't like this movie, I don't understand you, sorry but it's a pretty fantastic movie.
Pirate Radio - I fought Shawn on this one. It just didn't sound appealing to me. But I'm happy that he made me watch it! I originally didn't want to watch it because I didn't know anything about it. But it is a really fun movie! If you haven't watched it yet I would suggest putting it on your watchlist. It's fun, there's a GREAT cast and it's all about rock and roll!
Monsters Inc - Just like Wall-E this is a good Pixar movie. I've never met anyone that didn't like Monsters Inc and I hope that I never do because it's also one that I can put on repeat.
Capote - This is one of those movies that Shawn wouldn't tell me anything about, I just had to watch it. At first I wasn't sure about it but then he did tell me that Philip Seymour Hoffman was in it so I agree to it. And just like Pirate Radio I'm glad we watched this one because it was sad but also a great movie. This is another one for your watchlist if you haven't seen it yet.
Eastern Promises - This was the same as Capote where I wasn't really sure about it but Shawn had been mentioning it since Christmas so we watched it. Yet again, another one for your watchlist if you haven't seen it.
40 Year Old Virgin - This is another movie that we watch a few times a year. It's so funny!
The Wedding Singer - I had never seen The Wedding Singer before and Shawn got it for his birthday so I have finally seen it! It's a great feel good movie for when you just want to enjoy watching a movie.
Beerfest - This movie. It was another one that Shawn got for his birthday and I know that he loves it but for me it's definitely a "one and done."
The Internship - The only reason we watched this movie was because it was free on Amazon and we both just wanted a nice movie instead of a serious one. It was cute, I guess. I'm not a fan of Owen Wilson so that immediately turned me off but it was still decently funny.
The Neighbors - In the 8 1/2 months we have been married I think we have watched this movie about three times, maybe more. We love it! It's so funny! If you haven't seen it yet you should watch it! It's pretty great!
I'm sorry the post is so late today! I recently started a new job and it's keeping me VERY busy. I will be doing a post on it within the next couple of weeks so you guys and gals reading this can get to know me and my career as an American Sign Language Interpreter a little better.
This is that weird week in the month when I only post on Wednesday so if you were looking for a post yesterday I'm sorry! I will be back on Tuesday, April 1st with my next post!
