It's the last Wednesday of the month! And if you have been reading my blog for a few months you know what that means!
For those who don't know - or maybe you forgot - the last Wednesday of the month I like to share the movies that I watched through the previous month.
For those who don't know - or maybe you forgot - the last Wednesday of the month I like to share the movies that I watched through the previous month.
In March, Shawn and I watched quite a lot of movies. But in April we didn't watch as many as I would have liked to. I think that this is partially because of the new job. But, with that being said, we still watched a good amount of movies!
So, here we go! The movies Shawn and I watched in April - although some I did watch by myself because I know it's not his kind of movie.
The Waterboy- This was one of those movies that I wasn't very interested in watching but I give it a shot and ended up enjoying it! It was a good movie to watch what I was tired from a long day at work and just wanted to watch something fun. Chef- Shawn saw Chef back in January when we were in Arizona with my family, but I wanted to sleep in that morning so I hadn't seen it yet. Following "The Waterboy" I still wanted to watch a fun movie so Shawn picked this one and I agreed right away because I really wanted to see it! If you haven't seen it yet I suggest you do. It's on Netflix for the time being and you should really watch it! It's such a fun movie with a great cast too! But just so you know - you should watch it on a full stomach because the whole movie is about fo od...really, really delicious looking food. Toy Story 3- This movie. I cry at the end of this movie every single time I watch it. Without fail, I always cry. If you haven't seen it yet I'm assuming that A) you live under a rock or B) you have something against toys and Pixar. |
Life Itself- For those who don't know, this is a documentary about Roger Ebert so obviously it was a rough one to watch but it is worth it. I didn't know much about his life before but after watching the documentary I asked for the book for my birthday (which was yesterday) and my wonderful mother in law bought it for me and I am really excited to learn more about Eberts life. Again, this is another movie that I would highly suggest watching, especially if you are a movie buff. But even if you aren't a movie buff you should still watch it because it shows the life of a man who had a huge impact in the movie industry and all he had to do was watch and review movies. American Sweethearts- This is one of those "cheesy but cute" movies. It's hard to avoid cheesy when you have John Cusack, Julia Roberts, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Billy Crystal all in one movie. But it was a fun one! And just like "The Waterboy" and "Chef" it was a nice movie that was easy to enjoy. Going Clear- I think by now almost everyone has seen this. It's the documentary about Scientology...and its nutty. Everyone knows that it's a crazy "religion", if you can call it that, but to actually hear personal stories from people who have left the cult was just so sad. When you leave, your family does not talk to you ever again. People who stay in Scientology completely cut off those leave. So there are so many people who haven't talked to their sons, daughters or parents in years. But I'm glad that I watched it because I learned something new! |
Beauty and the Beast (Twice)- "Hi, my name is Caitlin and I am additcted to watching Beauty and the Beast". It's definitely in my Top 3 favorite movies. Aaaaand my mother in law also gave me it on BluRay for my birthday so obviously I had to watch it right away! I love this movie so much. It's definitely my favorite Disney movie so I have a feeling it will be in more than a few more "What I'm Watching" Wednesday's. Let's Be Cops- This was another movie just for fun! And it was fun! It was really funny and the two guys it in are great together! So if you are in the mood for a fun movie where you don't really have to pay attention and you can just veg out then I would definitely suggest this one! Godzilla- The new one, not the Matthew Broderick one. It was good, I suppose. If you are planning to watch it you can obviously expect to have the dramatic explosions, dramatic fight scenes, and dramatic dialogue. Yet again, it was another movie we wanted to watch just because we knew it would be fun. |
I think April is officially the month of fun/veg out movies. The new job is keeping me busy and therefore tired by the time I get home. So it's been nice to to watch some fun movies and not have to think about the story too much.
Plus, if you've read my last post, you know that I've been on a kick of reading autobiographies. And I suppose the same goes for documentaries too! Shawn and I have both enjoyed learning more about things and people we didn't know about.

I will be back next Wednesday! I hope you are enjoying these "What I'm Watching" Wednesday posts! It's fun to keep track of what Shawn and I are watching!
